Requirements for DGD upload
The following requirements must be implemented for successful upload of scanned DGDs to DG AutoCheck:
- Scan quality must be minimum 300 to 400 dpi
- Ensure to scan the original DGD. Do not use scan of Xerox copies
- DGDs must be scanned using regular (flat bed) scanner. Do not use photo taken on cell phone, tablet, or mobile device camera
- Scanning mode must be either color or grey scale. Do not use Black and White scanning mode, as it may have negative effect on the recognition quality of documents
- DGDs may be upload as PDF or image files. Image files (example: JPEG) may be used for single-page-DGD only.
- For multi-page DGDs, all the pages must be uploaded as a single PDF file. The DGD pages must come first, followed by other documents (such as AWB), if any.
- DGD layout and format must be compliant. DGDs used must be in accordance with the format and layout specified in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). See examples of DGDs not supported by DG AutoCheck. https://www.iata.org/globalassets/iata/publications/dg-autocheck/iata-dg-autocheck-unsupported-dgd.pdf
